The core idea
Grid Wolf 2048 uses the familiar slide-and-merge foundation of 2048, but the board is built around a wolf pack. Swipe on touch screens or use the arrow keys or WASD on a keyboard. Every move shifts the pack in the chosen direction until wolves meet another wolf, prey, terrain, an obstacle, or the edge of the board.
Merge matching wolves
Two wolves of the same rank can merge into the next rank. Higher ranks are worth more and can unlock access to stronger prey.
Capture prey
Prey remain on their cells until captured. The prey tile shows the wolf rank needed to take it. Use the right wolf at the right time instead of treating every tile like a normal 2048 square.
Read the terrain
Ridges act as solid walls. Forest and water tiles can alter how movement flows because a wolf may have to stop on them before continuing on a later move.
Watch for predators
Grizzlies add risk. Some situations require a resource such as a fish before the Grizzly can be safely removed.
Stars and long-term progress
Stars are Grid Wolf's long-term progression system. Runs across the game feed into your all-time stars and Star Rank, while stars can also be spent inside the Den. Classic, Survival and Daily reward stars through rank and prey-capture milestones. Daily and Adventure can also reward stars for moves left when you successfully finish.
Board expansion
Survival, Adventure and Daily can expand beyond the starting grid. If the board is full, no merge or prey capture is available, and you still have moves remaining, the board can gain another row and column. Survival also adds ridge tiles along the new edge, while Adventure and Daily expand without those extra ridges.
Choose the mode that fits how you want to play
Classic is endless score chasing. Survival adds a limited move pool. Adventure uses hand-crafted levels and objectives. Daily gives everyone one challenge for the day.
Signed-in players can sync stars, Den purchases and best scores across devices and can appear on the global leaderboards. Guest progress stays in that browser's local storage.
